ARTIST BIO
Payal Thiffault is an award-winning visual artist, curator, and Co-Founder of Juniper Rag Contemporary. Payal received a Bachelors in Studio Art and Economics from Clark University and has always been drawn to both - the creative and business side of art and design.
Her practice is rooted in an exploration of nature, emotional landscapes, and the ongoing process of personal growth. Drawing from lived experience, Payal’s work unfolds as an intimate visual narrative, one that reflects both the external beauty of the natural world and an inner resilience. Working primarily in watercolor, she develops richly layered compositions, incorporating acrylic and gold leaf to create depth, luminosity, and texture.
Payal was awarded First Prize at Newton Art Association’s New Member Exhibition in 2022 and received a creative sector grant by Mass Cultural Council in 2023.
